How long should I plan to be in the store?

On average, appointments last between 1 and 1.5 hours.

Shopping experiences are best when accompanied by a bride’s mother, closest friends or other loved ones. Remember that the more opinions at an appoinment, the harder your decision may be.

May I take pictures of the gowns I have tried on?

Of course! Pictures often help the decision making process.

How far in advance do I need to buy my gown?

Brides should generally purchase their gown at least 3-6 weeks before their special day. There have been exceptions to this recommendation as we have helped same-day brides find the dress of their dreams.

Can gowns be special-ordered?

Yes. Depending on the designer you select, special-orders can take up to 16 weeks to arrive in our store. Half down is required before placing orders.

What prices should I expect to see?

Gowns at Petals and Promises can range in price from $99 to $2500. We have a gown for any budget.

What payment options are available for the dress of my dreams?

There are three payment options for gowns. Gowns can be paid-in-full and taken home the same day. A 30-day layaway option and a 60-day layaway are also available. A half down payment can start your layaway.

Are there alteration services provided for my gown?

An independent seamstress is recommended to customers after the purchase of their gown. She has been altering bridal gowns for Petals and Promises for 9 years and guarantees her work.

What should I bring to my fitting?

The shoes you will be wearing on your wedding day, your slip, bustier/new bra, and any additional garments (nylons, panty girdle, etc.) are required for your fittings. You will generally have 3 fittings before your dress is completely altered.

Is it too late for me to find the dress of my dreams?

It is never too late! We have experience helping same-day brides and do our very best to accommodate each and every schedule.
