McCall is one of our bridal consultants here at Petals and Promises Bridal! We were so excited for this wedding, not only are McCall and Jesse a beautiful couple, but McCall is so creative and we just knew this wedding would be like a real life Pinterest board.

“Our love story is a simple one, but honestly that’s how I’ve always wanted it to happen. It all started about two years ago when I returned home from serving a LDS mission. Before my mission, I was attending Utah Valley University but for some reason it didn’t feel right to keep attending there after my mission. So Utah State it was! Fast forward many months later and my friends and I started hanging out with a group of guys we met from the singles ward. We would always hang out as one big group of friends and had lot of fun doing so. Then that all changed over Christmas break when a one of the guys from the group, named Jesse, asked me out on a date. I honestly wasn’t expecting it, but thought, “Why the heck not?! He’s a fun and cute guy and I have nothing to lose.” For our first date He took me to dinner at Cheesecake Factory (smart man haha food is the way to almost any girl’s heart) and afterwards we talked while walking around a park that had the most beautiful Christmas lights strung everywhere. I remember that night thinking about how easy he was to talk to and how it felt like we had been friends for years. Ever since that night we’ve been inseparable. We kept going dates, even had two classes with each other Spring semester (totally unplanned), and a few months later he proposed to me. On August 6, 2016 I married my best friend in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was the most beautiful, memorable day surrounded by close family and friends. I now know why attending UVU just didn’t feel right, but attending USU did….because I wouldn’t have been able to meet the most kind, handsome, funny, hard working, friendly, generous man that I now call my best friend and husband.”
