“Esteban and I met at a camp fire where we were invited by mutual friends. I later went home and stalked him on Facebook and then to my surprise he messaged me that night. Holy. Cow. I was freaking out in the most girly Twitter padded way haha! The next few nights we kept running into each other in different places. He finally decided it was time to ask me out on a date for that Friday night to the demolition derby. He’s such a dork cause he had just gotten home from his mission in Canada, and at the derby they played the national anthem but it had been two years since he heard it so when it came on he got SO happy and started singing along. I was both laughing because 1) it was kinda cute 2) it was kind of..strange. After that, we kept texting and hanging out a lot. But then he went to China for two weeks where we had zero communication and it was THE WORST two weeks of my life. When he got back we took things slow, but I got impatient because I knew I had really really liked this kid and I wasn’t saying yes to other guys that were asking me on dates, so…I told him what I was thinking, then after a few months of knowing each other and dating other people too, we finally decided to be official “boyfriend girlfriend” he is the biggest spaz I know. I love him more and more every day and the more I know him the more I’m grateful I said yes! He always makes fun of me because I was the first one to break the fart barrier, I just couldn’t hold them in anymore and if he was really gonna get to know me, he’s gotta know all of me. But we laugh lots, and have fun doing random dumb things. I can’t wait to marry my best friend even if he does get on my nerves sometimes. I love my Esteban!”
