Now that you have found the perfect man, it is time to find the perfect dress! There are so many different things to consider when choosing a look for your special day; from silhouettes and fabrics down to the little details that add the perfect touch. Here is a guide to help you consider all the options.
Silhouettes:
A-line gowns are fitted at the waist and gradually flare out towards the hem. They are flattering for all shapes and sizes! A few of our favorites are M566, 3004, and 2915.
Mermaid gowns fit closely to the body through the torso and hips and then fishtail out to the floor. They flatter slender and hourglass figures. Mermaid silhouettes have been a major hit this season. A few of our favorites include: 3008
Sheath gowns are straight and fit close to the body. They flatter slender figures as well as hourglass figures willing to show off their curves. A few of our favorite sheath gowns include: MJ258, C401, and M571.
Ballgowns are gowns with a very full skirt. They are great for all body types and are quite forgiving. Our favorites: M578, 3017, and 9425.
Fabrics
The most common wedding gown fabrics are lace, tulle, and satin.
This year’s collections feature gowns with the perfect mix of fabrics.
Lace gowns are very “in” this season! Lace gowns are romantic, vintage and give gorgeous detail! A few of our favorites include: M574, 3005 and 9407.
Tulle gowns are so fun and flirty! We absolutely love when lace and tulle are paired together, like in MJ259. The combination creates a gorgeous and fun look.
Last but not least, satin gowns are making a come back this season! We are especially loving mermaid gowns made out of satin! They are so dramatic and absolutely gorgeous. Our favorite is 9416.
It’s All in the Details
If you’re like us, you live for unique and special details! Whether it’s crystal buttons, intricate beading, or a gorgeous illusion neckline- the details often make a dress “THE dress”! Check out these dresses that have all the right details: 3013, M552, 9411
