Sydney & Spencer || Petals & Promises Bridal Bride

“Spencer and I first met our freshman year when my friends and his friends decided to crash the same party. We all met each other there, had mutual feelings about the party and left to form new friendships together. We hung out that night, but never really talked again over the next year of school. When our junior year began, we became close again. After a perfect first date and first kiss we started dating. About five months later I was ready for him to propose. I gave him two rules, which were, not in public and no family there to watch. I had a “girl’s trip” down in city creek where we were hanging out around the fountains when we heard music start. At first I didn’t take notice until I soon realized what was playing, it was “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. A few girls started dancing and I thought we had better leave this awkward situation so we don’t get stuck in some flash mob. My friends started moving closer and recording, it was at that moment I knew exactly what was happening. Halfway through the song Spencer and two of my close friends jumped out and started dancing along. My heart skipped a beat of pure joy. Then above me both our families screamed from their hiding places! I was overwhelmed. Spencer got down on one knee and I forgot to say yes! But I knew I wanted to marry him. We got married July 20th, 2017 and it was the dream day with my dream guy and my dream dress! My dress could not have been more perfect. I needed no altering to my wedding dress so I knew it really was the dress meant for me. The train was the perfect length, the sleeves fit perfect, and I was obsessed with the lace pattern. Thank you Petals and Promises for helping me feel like a princess on my special day!”
