This week we’re featuring our bride McKenzie! We were amazed when she told us that her family provided all of the decorations for the reception. That’s right, Miss McKenzie might be the queen of DIY wedding decor! Her stunning gown reflected her sweet personality and just made sense when she tried it on in the store. Here’s what McKenzie had to say about her experience with Petals and Promises:

“My sister bought her dress from Petals and Promises, so I knew I also wanted to look there for my dress. I had looked at other places before I came to Petals and Promises but nothing was really standing out to me. My whole life I thought I would want a “princess” type dress; after all I am a dancer and wearing flashy, showy dresses kind of comes with the title. But when I tried on dresses, nothing worked.

When my mom and I came to Petals and Promises we were on a tight schedule because I had to be back in North Ogden fairly soon for work. Our consultants were amazing! They went right to work and pulled a bunch of dresses for me to try on. There was one dress that stood out to me but it had a big slit up the back and it was really plain so I wasn’t sure I’d like it but the consultant encouraged me to try it on anyway. So I put it on and my face lit up! When I walked out of the dressing room my mom knew that I had finally found my dress!

It was still a little plain and the slit up the back was a problem, but we all put our heads together and came up with solutions for everything! We found some fabric to fill up the slit, we added a Cathedral length veil to help add length in the back and a sparkly belt pulled everything together! And of course the fact that the dress was under $300.00 made the whole thing  perfect!

I loved my experience at Petals and Promises. The store is so clean, the dresses are well taken care of, the prices are great, and the staff is awesome! I would recommend Petals and Promises to anyone!”
